Football, Sportsmanship, and Hope

The Gift of Hope

A very inspirational story. A football team elects to play a correctional facility football team in Texas. The teams fans were motivated by the coach to cheer for the youth on the other side who many do not have parents or never had many fans in the stands for them.

I love stories like this. It goes to show that a little bit of hope and faith go along way to helping even those in the most dire situations. This is very fitting on the Eve of Christmas. What can you do to make someone who is in the pit of despair feel just a little uplift in life?

Chicago Politics UNLEASHED!!!

This is a bash on the media. This is going to be the most insightful piece of information you will have the pleasure of recieving all year. This goes out to you, the media, for which I send you my best regards. In your passing, rest in peace, you have shown the people of the great United States that you are a disgrace.

So here goes!!!

This newly blown up story of the idiot Governor of Illinios that thinks politics can be simply bought and sold has only shown me that the media system is a failure. Where is the extensive searches done on the personal lives of the people involved and why is nothing being reported except for the same story over and over and over. Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin found that you people of the media are capable of turning every rock over and digging in every piece of trash, figuratively and literally. I mean how many stories did I have to see on some of the horrible networks about Sarah Palin's daughter and her child? How many stories did I have to see about Trig? How many times did I have to be "blessed" with the reality show of Joe the Plumber? If you are more than able to dig up this information, then why aren't you able to find all that are connected in this more than obvious story and case of corruption?

What are you afraid of? That liberal Democrats will shun you? What about the consumers of your media? They are more than likely to side with you for good juicy stories that require the good ole' investigative work of the old school reporters. But you can continue with being more of the same. More of the same crappy media sources that protect government officials instead of being their watch dog. Or when a Democrat is involved, just ignore it! But if Blago was a Republican, we would more than know every single insignificant factiod about his life all the way to his birth. This is just shameful. Seriously disgusting.

For Sale!!! Going to the Best Offer!!!

Who has the coin to get this nicely prized Senate Seat? Comes with your very own link to dirty Chicago politics!

Finally!!!

Evidence there is a God.

My day has been made. No need for laws or legislation!!! Why stop at teens though!

Lowered Expectations?

Obama, What the hell?

This just is the tip of the iceberg for me. I have been reading article after article about this reoccuring theme once the Obama got into office. BIG PROMISES during the campaign, now we are blaming the outside factors for the promises you made that are not going to happen? Now we are going to say somethings may take awhile to do, so we may as well be patient with you? People elected you, Barry, for the things you promised them right away, now you aren't even going to hold up your end? What is the deal? Empty Suit Syndrome...

All is fair in love and war, but most definately not in talk radio!!!

Fairness Doctrine Obama Style!

I despise this legislation. Not because it is really unfair because it is very unfair to mainly radio markets while ignoring the other media markets. I am very opposed to this because it regulates a market by that has a niche.

Talk radio has been a conservative megaphone. That is not to say that conservatives are hoarding this to themselves. Liberal talk radio has had their chances, but failed miserably. There are indeed some successful radio pundits that lean left, but that is because they found a market for it. I am okay with that. Conservative talk radio also found that market.

Why do we need to regulate something that doesn't need regulation? This is not fair to the market of ideas. If people truly didn't want to listen to talk radio that leans right, then they would turn off the radio. If people wanted liberal talk radio, they would also go out and find that as well. This is basically the lefts way of dealing with what they deem criticism.

This doctrine will essentially cost some of the lesser known talk radio hosts their jobs and possibly send some talk radio stations to program differently. Money, jobs, and advertisers will all be hurt because someones' feelings were hurt.

I agree with the last paragraph with this article. Talk radio hosts and listeners need to speak up. Don't sit back and watch any attack on your market rights get thrown into the Obama Political Machine's wood-chipper. Conservative Congress members need to show the public and the Executives that this is not acceptable.

Truth Weathers the Test of Time

While I was born under President Gerald R. Ford, the first President that I remember was Ronald Reagan. Between the ages of 5 and 13, I can't say that I paid any particular interest to politics. Like any school child of the 1980s, I could tell you that Ronald Reagan's favorite snack was Jelly Bellies, the gourmet jelly bean that was immensely popular as a result. Beyond that, there wasn't a whole lot that impressed me about the political scene as a kid. I stayed up on current events through middle school and high school, and could always tell you any number of facts about our government and current leadership, but politics was far from my mind on a regular basis.

Quite a lot has changed in the interceding 20 years. Politics has become more of a persuasive passion in my life, something I enjoy discussing respectfully. Sadly, diplomacy and a sense of civil dissent is all too rare, and it's often easier to

Google Makes Some Noise...

http://www.drudgereport.com/flashgof.htm

I understand this is used to trace traffic based on the spikes in Flu searches on Google which in turn is then relayed to the CDC. This technology can be used for anything and is currently used for many things. The average citizen of the States doesn't realize this currently happens and that the internet is NOT as private as they think. But...

What about the Patriot Act and all those "violations" that were championed by the Left? The difference here is this is a private company whereas the government is the other entity. So basically we are alright with private companies keeping track of our internet usage, including email, site hits, and searches, while the government should be bound by legal limitations to respect our privacy?

Why?

Not so secret names...

Article is basically about telling the public the code names that are given to the new, soon-to-be occupants of the White House. The only thing that strikes me odd about this is the use of the word code. Wouldn't code imply that there is some aspect of secrecy? Now if the public knows the code names, I think there isn't really any code about it.
